Knitting and sewing retreats, with the option to book accommodation. Join me for small group teaching, seasonal food and beautiful surroundings.
One day and evening workshops - more suitable if you're local to Stroud and would prefer a day workshop to a whole retreat.
Get in touch if you'd like to book one-to-one or small group sewing sessions with me in the Cotswold area!
An introduction to using garden and foraged plants to create beautiful colours on fabric and wool yarn, with Lorna of Thread and Yarn.
The day will begin with hot drinks and biscuits, while we talk through the basics of natural dyeing and how to grow or forage your own colours. You'll then create your own uniquely dyed fabric and wool using the bundle dye technique and various dye flowers and leaves.
It's a day of getting creative with dye flowers, learning about creating colour from plants and a delicious home cooked vegetarian lunch. You'll go home with a skein of dyed wool, and a section of fabric.
Join me to celebrate midsummer here in Stroud: a long weekend of hand crafts, fireside storytelling, Cotswold rambling, homegrown food, willow weaving and fibre kinship.
Rebuild your energy and enjoy cosy crafts and comforting food.
All nestled in a historic house in Stroud and the countryside around.
Throughout the retreat there will be plenty of time and space by the fire to cosy up with your knitting, stitching or a book. You'll also have early access to my late summer yarn collection!
Pricing
Each place is £499*, with accommodation charged per night on top. The rooms vary in size and price - more on this below.
*This includes all the activities, the sock pattern, lunch Friday - Sunday, and dinner on Thursday and Saturday. It doesn't include accommodation, breakfast or yarn.
Find out more about accommodation below.
Our lovely host, Lucia, is offering a limited number of rooms in her historic house. There are a range of room sizes and prices. Watch this video from our last retreat to see more of the rooms and house.
Homemade breakfast on all mornings, and dinner Thursday and Saturday included.
Dormitory rooms
Excitingly, Lucia is now offering a shared dormitory space in her spacious loft - the old servants' quarters for the house! The room is open plan and shaped as a large 'L' - on one side there is a double bed with a small kitchen counter, sink and kettle. On the other side are two single camp beds (very cosy, I promise).
In between the beds there is a cosy central sitting area. You'll be using the shared family bathroom on the floor below, and the dormitory space is up two flights of (historic!) staircases. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or who finds stairs tricky. Watch this video from our last retreat to see how the stairs start in the room.
Local to Stroud?
There will also be two non-residential places if you'd prefer to stay at your home and join us for the day activities and the Saturday night Fibre Folk evening.
